Video: Steve Jobs at Stanford
Today's theme focuses on graduation, I may be changing the format to resemble This American Life on NPR, where they have a different theme each show... perhaps I will have a theme every day, with a video, article and song concerning that theme... may prove to be difficult, but I will give it a whirl.
I am walking around Marquette's campus today... I am getting the graduation vibe, people celebrating they are done for LIFE, and hearing whispers about Conor's speech. The video is Steve Jobs (a college drop out), the founder of my favorite company in the world, giving a heart felt speech. I was surprised when I saw this, because for some reason I always thought he was cold hearted... but he is inspirational. These three simple stories are filled with nuggets of wisdom.
Article: Conan at Harvard
Couldn't find the video... but the transcript of this is priceless... whenever asked the question if you could have dinner with one person in the world, who would it be? My answer time and time again is Conan! I can't wait until he takes over for Leno.
Song: We're Going to Be Friends, The White Stripes
This song reminds me of going back to school as opposed to leaving it... but I didn't want that cheesy yet addicting Vitamin C "Graduation Song" stuck in my head... or Green Day's overplayed graduation anthem. This song does remind me of a Simon and Garfunkel tune or something from that era... but I always feel good after listening to it.
