Video: One of my favorite movies, What About Bob, features this scene of Dr. Leo Marvin trying to wake up the crazy Bob Wiley.
Article: Was Osama Right?
Featured a few days ago in the Wall Street Journal. An interesting piece... I don't think Osama was right, or atleast I hope he isn't right, because it would be a disaster.
Song: 5th of Beethoven, Electric Light Orchestra
If I could go back to high school and do one thing, it would be to perform in the talent show this song.. I have it very planned out... It would feature four violinsts in bow ties and suits playing the opening eight cords with the curtain closed behind them, making it seem like a serious performance to begin... then the music gets funky... violinsts rip off their suits and have tie dye shirts on... the curtain opens with a drummer, keyboardist and guitar... two people from opposite ends of the stage do flips and meet each other in the middle and start dancing... later in the song a guy does the worm on stage... I don't know how I would fit in, I would probably be the director or learn how to do the worm. Couldn't find a clip of the whole song, but it was featured in Family Guy... check it out.

I love how you have choreographed your talent show event! Maybe you could be suspended by a harness flying around the stage area? Kind of a Chris Farley type thing?
Greg- Love the response...Good point on Reagan withdrawing troops, but I think the idea isn’t blaming Clinton (I don’t think his name was even mentioned by me or the article), but the American will in general, on the question “What have we done to offend you? (during the Cold War) and Why Do They Hate Us? (after 9/11). You can’t blame one man, Clinton, as many Republicans like to do, or American’s foreign policy as many liberals like to do, no one to blame, as it wouldn’t accomplish anything… a new threat has emerged, and now we have to deal with it and see how now we can avoid anything from happening next time. The hard part may be our nation’s inability to fight an enemy in a long drawn out battle, where you can never say “Mission Accomplished” because there is no state to defeat… it is a war that by a typical definition cannot be won, I think we need to still fight it, but it will be a never ending war, which I doubt much of the nation will be able to stomach, but I sure hope we can.
Obviously you are right, with hindsight, a lot of things are clear. After Oklahoma City, it may have made more sense to focus on domestic threats of terror, instead of looking overseas.I didn’t mean to blame anyone, just noted this was an interesting article and didn’t provide much analysis on it, or what I even thought about it. I just hope we are up to the challenge of defeating our enemies.
And I would also like to have a flying person in my talent show Courtney... maybe like the Wizard of Oz Monkeys with Bob Marley shirts on...
